We are happy to report that there were no fee increases this year. Visit our Registration page at http://nsfastpitch.ca/registration for more information including fees, financial assistance, and our refund policy. Register early to prioritize your team-forming requests with the Division Coordinators. Receive an early-bird discount if you register before the end of January; a late fee will apply if you wait until March to register.

If your daughter was Squirt age (10 years old) last season, she would have received a Softball BC Lifetime Membership number. To avoid being charged another fee for this, make sure you have this number when you register. If you do not know your Softball BC number, contact the VP Junior at vpjunior@nsfastpitch.ca to request it (please provide your daughter's full name and birthdate).

Hosting Midget Provincials

NS Fastpitch has been selected by Softball BC to host the 2011 Girls Midget C Provincial Championships on July 8-11.

We are very excited to be hosting this tournament! We are looking forward to working with Softball BC to organize and run a championship tournament that will be an outstanding softball competition for the athletes, an enjoyable and exciting experience for family and friends, and a high-profile and accessible community event on the North Shore that raises the profile of our association and sport.

We will need volunteers to help organize and run this event, and we also need sponsors to help us raise the funds to host this tournament. There is a special section on Page 2 of the online Registration form where you can sign up as a volunteer or contribute to fundraising for this event.

Our goal is to make hosting a Provincials an annual tradition (alternating House/Rep and younger/older divisions), and we will need involvement across all divisions in both House and Rep leagues so that we can develop the knowledge and experience to accomplish this for our girls.

The Tournament Director's role on the 2011 Provincials organizing committee will be shared by Karen Jones (604-929-7630) and Roland Schigas (604-924-0238). Feel free to contact us by phone or by email at provincials@nsfastpitch.ca.
