Volunteer Awards

Congratulations to Tom Cumming & Jeff Pickard, 2011 Volunteer of The Year award recipients.

Jeff and Tom exemplify the selfless can-do spirit that makes North Shore Fastpitch so successful. Both have been instrumental in keeping our fields and facilities in top shape, spending days at the beginning of the season preparing the diamonds at McCartney Park, Lynn Valley Park and Loutet Park so that our athletes have the best playing surfaces for their games. They also spent many hours preparing the fields for the Midget C Provincials we hosted this season, producing the flattest, most beautiful infields this side of Softball City.

Provincials Results

98 Stars repeat as Provincial Champions & Avalanche repeat as silver medalists.

Congratulations to all of the teams which represented North Shore Fastpitch at provincials this year.

Rep Coach Applications

Individuals interested in the head coach position for any of the Stars rep teams and the Supermites development team for next season must submit their application by July 31.

Please read the Rep Program Guidelines (www.nsfastpitch.ca/rep/NSGFA-RepGuidelines-v02.pdf) before submitting your application.  You can submit an application using the Rep Coach Application form at www.nsfastpitch.ca/rep/rep-coach-application.  Your application should include:

  • coaching certifications;
  • experience relevant to coaching girls softball;
  • description of coaching accomplishments;
  • coaching philosophy & specific goals for next season;
  • the team or division you wish to coach.

Applicants will be notified of the Rep Committee's selections in August.  Successful candidates must assist with Rep Tryout planning in August.

Stars Tryouts

Stars Rep tryouts and Supermites Rep development tryouts are scheduled for September 10-11, 2011.

Tryouts will be held at Loutet Park in Lynn Valley from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. A detailed schedule with times for each division will be published in August. These tryouts are for Stars teams in the Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget age groups, and the Supermites rep development team in the Mite 2nd year age group.

Athletes must attend these tryouts to be eligible to play on a Rep team. Per the Rep Guidelines (www.nsfastpitch.ca/rep/NSGFA-RepGuidelines-v02.pdf), athletes who do not attend tryouts will not be considered for selection to a Stars or Supermites team.

It helps the organizers if you register to attend. Please register for the Rep tryouts at www.nsfastpitch.ca/rep/tryout-registration.
