Softball BC Numbers
Softball BC Lifetime Membership numbers now assigned to all ages, and are available through the NS Fastpitch website.
In the past, Softball BC Lifetime Membership numbers were assigned only for U12 (Squirt) age players and older. Softball BC now requires all players regardless of age to have a Softball BC number.
If you do not have a Softball BC number, a number will be assigned by the Registrar after you register.
If you already have a number, click here to
retrieve your Softball BC number using the new self-serve form on the website.
Softball BC Changes
Division names & some age groups were changed by Softball BC for the 2012 season.
Division names (Softball BC categories) have been renamed by Softball BC to follow Softball Canada's categories. Some age ranges were also changed; prior to 2012, Midget was 16 - 18 years old and Jr Ladies was 19 - 22 years old.
- U6 (formerly Blastball): 5 years old by March 31 of this season
- U8 (formerly Mini Mite): 6 - 7 years old by Jan 1 of this season
- U10 (formerly Mite): 8 - 9 years old by Jan 1 of this season
- U12 (formerly Squirt): 10 - 11 years old by Jan 1 of this season
- U14 (formerly Pee Wee): 12 - 13 years old by Jan 1 of this season
- U16 (formerly Bantam): 14 - 15 years old by Jan 1 of this season

This information and much more is available on the
FAQ page.
Note: For the 2012 season only, Softball BC is allowing 18 year-old House players to choose whether to play a final third year in the U18 (Midget) division instead of the Jr Ladies division. Players who would like to do this should register normally (they will be placed in Jr Ladies by the registration system) but request to play in the U18 division using the "Comments" field on page 2 of the online registration form.
Fee Changes
Basic fees & Rep fees needed to be increased, and the Softball BC number is now mandatory for all ages.
The basic registration fee for all divisions was raised due to increases by Softball BC in player and team fees, and also due to North Shore municipal user fee increases for fields. The Rep fee was also raised to cover increased tournament fees and rep support costs.
Since Softball BC Lifetime Membership numbers are now mandatory for all ages, the online registration system will automatically add the $10 fee if you do not have a number.
Visit the
Registration page to see the fees for the 2012 season.
