Scholarship Program

North Shore Fastpitch annually awards two $500 scholarships to players who have demonstrated leadership and contributed to the NSGFA and their community. Any currently registered NSGFA player who is graduating from a North Shore secondary school this year and is planning to pursue post secondary education is eligible to apply.


The application process is now open for this season.

Softball BC also offers scholarships to players graduating from grade 12 each season. Visit the Softball BC website for more information.

Player Eligibility

  • Registered with NS Fastpitch in the current season;
  • In grade 12 at a North Shore secondary school and graduating in the current year;
  • Planning to pursue post-secondary education.

Application Process

  1. Submit an application using the Scholarship Application Form on this website;
  2. Have any letters of recommendation sent by email to scholarships@nsfastpitch.ca;
    Note: Applications & letters must be received by April 30
  3. Scholarship committee will review all applications and grant awards;
  4. Applicants will be notified in May, in time for the awards to be presented at our AGM in June.

Selection Criteria

  • Team contributions, including leadership on and off the field;
  • Participation in activities which give back to the NS Fastpitch (coaching, umpiring, running clinics, volunteering);
  • Contributions to the North Shore community;
  • Character recommendations from other people (unrelated to the player).
